Utah State’s center Tyler Larsen has been named to an All-Freshman team. He was named a second-team on the Phil Steele’s College Football All-Freshman list.He started 12 games at center this season for the Aggies, as a redshirt freshman. He made all the blocking calls for the Aggies offense. He also helped Utah State get 4,168 yards in total offense and 32 touchdowns.It is the second straight year that a Utah State player made the All-Freshman team. Last year, Kerwynn Williams was a third-team kick returner on the All-Freshman team. But it is the 7th honor in the past 8 years for the football team.Besides Larsen and Williams’ honor, Peter Caldwell received The Sporting News honorable mention in 2007. Linebacker Paul Igboeli received The Sporting News honorable mention in 2006, and linebacker Jake Hutton received The Sporting News third-team in 2005.
